Second Harvest

Second Harvest works with businesses across the supply chain to redirect their surplus food to non-profit organizations that feed communities in every province and territory.

Whether you have a single pallet or multiple trailer loads, Second Harvest is your free one-stop solution, handling end-to-end donation logistics at no cost, moving surplus food from your facility to local verified non-profits.

Farmers are encouraged to join the From the Farm program, which offers free pick-up of surplus and grade-outs of any volume and ensures empty bins and trays are returned.

Food businesses can also use the Second Harvest Food Rescue App to post food donations, which are then claimed and picked up by local non-profits and charities. The app is ideal for:

• Businesses with routine surplus (daily or weekly)

• Digital, self-managed experience: access the app via your smartphone or browser

• ESG reporting: Access data on donated food and environmental impact
