In 1996, Carol Poole, owner of Tigerlily Ranch, was at the forefront of an innovative, new business – raising alpacas on the Canadian Prairies. At a time when exotics like bison, ostrich, and elk were all the rage, she and her business partner formed Tiger Park Alpacas. Today, they focus on producing world class alpaca fiber and have developed some of the best breeding stock in the industry.
