Brooke Howat

Ducks Unlimited Canada

Brooke Howat grew up on a grain farm near Canwood, Saskatchewan, and now farms with her partner on a mixed farm in the Debden area. She is a member of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band and has family and roots in Stanley Mission. Brooke attended Lakeland College and received a diploma in conservation and restoration ecology. She then earned a bachelor of science in agriculture and a masters in soil science from the University of Saskatchewan. Brooke worked in agricultural research for a few years before becoming an agrologist for Ducks Unlimited Canada. Her job is to help restore duck habitat and deliver forage programs to producers in northwest and west-central Saskatchewan.
