Heifer Replacement Program

Supporting the Canadian cattle herd is important to our customers and Canada’s livestock industry. That’s why FCC developed the Heifer Replacement Program. By reducing cash flow pressure and capping interest rates, we’re helping livestock producers manage herd stability and growth. This program is open to eligible new and existing agriculture, agribusiness and food customers. 

Program highlights include:

• Variable and Variable Open prime plus 1.5%

• Funds must be used to purchase replacement heifers or to support existing heifers in the herd

• No processing fees

• Standard security requirements apply

Program structure

• Maximum 2-year interest-only payments

• Maximum life of the loan – 7 years

• Principal payments must begin within one payment frequency after the interest-only period, or on the maturity date, whichever is lesser

• Interest must be paid during the disbursement period
