2020-21 Highlights

Serving close to 100,000 customers

FCC provides financing to primary production, agribusiness and agri-food customers across Canada.

COVID-19 emergency support

We provided 4,919 customers with loan payment deferrals and approved an additional 1,879 customers for emergency COVID-19 credit lines.

Small and medium operations

93% of farms and 85% of agri-business and food processors we finance are small to medium operations.

Empowering the next generation

We supported young farmers and entrepreneurs, lending $4.61 billion through various loan products and offering the FCC Young Farmer Summit event series.

Supporting women in agriculture

We approved 1,893 Women Entrepreneur Loan applications, totalling over $1.1 billion, exceeding our three-year $500-million target.

Indigenous agriculture

We committed to truth and reconciliation through employee education and contributed $15 million to the National Aboriginal Capital Corporation Association (NACCA) through the Indigenous Growth Fund.

Mental wellness

Over 6,100 people attended online events related to mental health topics. We delivered 31 workshops in partnership with the Do More Agriculture Foundation.

Free business resources

We hosted 45 virtual business knowledge events with over 32,000 attendees. We received 844,653 views and interactions with FCC Knowledge offerings.
