With over 30 years of employment at FCC, Michael’s connection with our customers has always been strong. He spent his first nine years working as a Relationship Manager when he started at FCC fresh out of university in 1988.
Michael quickly gained a reputation as the guy who gets things done. Over his career, he’s engineered the growth and modernization of FCC's Customer Service Centre and led significant portfolio growth as Vice-President of Partners and Channels and Vice-President of Prairie Operations. As FCC’s first Chief Risk Officer, Michael was accountable for leading our Enhanced Risk Management Program to appropriately align FCC's risk management practices with those of federally regulated financial institutions in Canada. In July 2014, Michael was appointed to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer.
As CEO, one of Michael’s key priorities is to further position FCC as a catalyst that inspires passion for Canadian agriculture and connects producers and agribusiness and agri-food operators to the tremendous possibilities within the industry.
A Professional Agrologist, Michael holds a bachelor of science in agricultural economics from the University of Saskatchewan. He also holds the Institute of Corporate Directors designation. He’s an active volunteer in his community, sits on the board of Special Olympics Saskatchewan and is an avid triathlete. He is also a member of the Leaders Council at the Hill and Levene Schools of Business, University of Regina.
