Gilani has a vision for his agribusiness
Meb Gilani lives by a motto: Be awake before your competition and be asleep after.

It gives me the ability to relax, knowing the financing is in place.
As a vertically integrated egg producer, grader and marketer, Meb works hard. But he also works smart.
“We think forward and see our vision, including the challenges,” the Calgary entrepreneur explains. That strategic approach has helped the Gilani Group, which includes Sparks Eggs, become a multimillion-dollar business with more than 80 full-time employees.
FCC Gives Them Options
Meb wanted flexibility. So, working with his Senior Relationship Manager, he got a revolving term loan. “It gives me the ability to relax, knowing the financing is in place. We know we’re pre-approved so we can go gung ho.”
The decision to work with FCC was easy for the Gilani Group. Meb used FCC financing for construction of new buildings and to expand his grading business and facilities. “FCC asks questions about my business,” he says. “They learn about me and understand how agribusiness works. They’re always ready to hear my business ideas.”
