Thanks a million Canada
(2.4 million, actually)

This year, FCC Drive Away Hunger tractor tours took place in British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Nova Scotia and Regina (our corporate office) from October 11 to14. In addition, every FCC field office collected food and cash for our local food banks.

The result? More than 2.4 million pounds of food was collected.

Thank you – to the school children, local businesses, community groups and customers across Canada who provided donations. With your help we’ve been able to put food on the shelves in food banks across the country. Thanks to you we are making a difference for those who need it most – for now.

The need for food never stops. Please consider supporting your local food bank all year long.

With 100 FCC offices across rural Canada, our employees care about the communities where they live and work. FCC Drive Away Hunger is one more way we can give back, and make a positive impact for our friends and neighbours.

The FCC Drive Away Hunger Story

The first FCC Drive Away Hunger tour took place in September 2004 when an FCC employee in Ontario drove an open-cab tractor and trailer for eight days. Camping along the way, he collected food and donations for local food banks.

Since then, FCC employees continue to partner with local schools, businesses, community groups, residents and food banks to fight hunger in Canada.

FCC employees and our community partners have raised over 7.6 million pounds of food for local food banks in Canada.
