Your business plan can shape the future of agriculture.

We’re awarding the best ones with up to $2,500 with the FCC Business Planning Award.

As a student of agriculture, you'll notice how important a solid business plan is. (Behind every great business, is a great business plan.) When you enter the real-life business plan that you're already doing for school, you can win cash.

The FCC Business Planning Award challenges students in agriculture diploma or degree programs to partner with parents, industry specialists and experienced farm operators to develop real-life business plans. Are you ready to profit from your business plan? Your ideas are bigger than you think.

How are you eligible for an award?

  1. You are enrolled in the diploma or degree program of a participating agriculture college.
  2. You have participated in the course designated by the college that is applicable to the FCC Business Planning Award.
  3. You have a mentor – parent, producer or industry specialist.
  4. You have prepared a real-life business plan either as an individual or as part of a team, and have had this plan endorsed by your mentor.

What kind of cash are we talking about?
Each participating agriculture college will receive a maximum of $6,000. Individuals or teams can win as much as $2,500. Check with participating agriculture colleges for more details.

How are prize winners chosen?
Prize winners are selected by their college based on the college's own selection criteria.
