What is the FCC Regina Spirit Fund?The FCC Regina Spirit Fund is about making life better for people in Regina with $100,000 in funding for projects that enhance Regina. We care about this community where 600 of our employees live and work.
How much funding is available for each project?
Capital investment and capital improvement projects are eligible for up to $25,000 in funding. All other eligible projects are eligible for up to $10,000.
When will I be contacted regarding the status of my application?
Successful applicants will be contacted in April.
I’m having trouble submitting the online application. What should I do?
Email your name and contact information to FCCReginaSpiritFund@fcc-fac.ca and someone from FCC will be in touch with you to help.
Will all projects receive the full amount of funding requested?
No, some eligible projects will only receive part of the funding they request from FCC.
Sometimes the total cost of a project exceeds the maximum amount of funding available ($25,000). In this case, funding is often approved for smaller portions of larger projects. For example, funding might cover the cost to install flooring in a new community centre or supply medical equipment for a new community clinic.
How many times can I apply for the FCC Regina Spirit Fund?
There is no limit on how many times you may apply; however, each applicant (organization) can only receive funding once every two years through the program.
If I'm unsuccessful, do I have to re-apply or will my application automatically be considered again in the next round of applications for funding?
If you are unsuccessful, you must re-submit an application to be considered in the next round of funding. We suggest printing a copy of your application before submitting it so you can re-use the information for future applications.
Can more than one group submit an application for a single project if they are responsible for fundraising for different aspects of the project?
No, if multiple organizations are working together on a single project, one organization should be chosen to submit a funding request on behalf of the group.
Why does my non-profit organization have to be a registered non-profit corporation to be eligible?
Only non-profit organizations that are registered as corporations can receive public funding.
How do I know if my non-profit organization is registered as a corporation?
Your organization will have a non-profit corporation number from the Saskatchewan Justice Corporations Branch Corporate Registry. This is the same number that is required when you file taxes with Revenue Canada.
